Parkinson's disease is a chronic, progressive brain disorder that affects the nervous system and causes movement problems:
Symptoms
Symptoms include tremors, stiffness, difficulty with balance and coordination, and difficulty walking and talking. Other symptoms include mental and behavioral changes, sleep problems, depression, memory difficulties, and fatigue.
Progression
Symptoms usually begin gradually and worsen over time. Non-motor symptoms become more common as the disease progresses.
